Preserving Our History Together

The Little Red Shop Museum is run strictly by volunteers.  We can always use help.  Some of our current project needs include:

Maintaining a building erected in 1842 is an ongoing effort. This is a fairly simple job of repairing/replacing some rotted wood in the north exterior doorjamb.

Capturing all museum artifacts into a museum database is time-consuming and exacting work, but it helps us more easily locate items quickly and provides opportunities for rotating exhibits more easily.

Have an interesting collection you’d like to share with Museum-goers? We’ve had baseball, Girl Scout, model airplane and other exhibits. Contact curator@littleredshopmuseum.org for details on temporarily sharing your collection.

From staffing  our regular Sunday hours to helping with events like house tours,  Oktoberfest  and the Crystal Ball 2011, we always need volunteers!

Our exterior doors, particularly the large barn-style doors on the Hopedale Street side of the Red Shop require weatherproofing and weather stripping to help with heating and cooling costs.
